What size loop do you need for your watch strap?

The correct size of the loop depends not only on the width of the bracelet, but above all on the course of the strap - i.e. how the width changes from the watch case to the clasp.

How to find the right loop:
Check the tape path

Watch straps often have different widths at the watch and at the clasp.
The decisive width for the loop is always the width at the clasp!
Determine your loop size based on the gradient:

Strap path 20 mm → 20 mm
→ You need a 20 mm loop
Strap path 20 mm → 18 mm → You need an 18 mm loop
Strap path 20 mm → 16 mm → You need a 16 mm loop
Strap path 16 mm → 16 mm → You need a 16 mm loop
Strap path 18 mm → 18 mm → You need an 18 mm loop
Strap path 22 mm → 20 mm → You need a 20 mm loop
Strap path 22 mm → 18 mm → You need an 18 mm loop

👉 Note: It's not the original width of the strap on the watch that matters, but the width at the clasp! So it's best to measure directly there.
