We craft this strap from fine nubuck leather from a select Italian tannery—a leather that impresses with its velvety-soft surface, warm feel, and natural depth. Each piece showcases the vibrant texture of the leather and develops a unique patina over time, exuding character and authenticity.

The Mountain Bear is available in green, brown, light brown, and black —colors that perfectly complement modern, classic, and vintage watches. The matte finish emphasizes the natural style and lends each watch a calm, powerful presence.

We craft the Mountain Bear with seamless, multi-sealed tone-on-tone edges and a fine tone-on-tone seam —precisely crafted, unobtrusive, and stylistically clean. Integrated fiberglass reinforcement and double-stitched bartack stitches ensure stability, shape retention, and a long service life—even with daily wear.

Spring bars are small metal pins with a spring mechanism.

They are used to attach the watch strap to the watch , ensuring the strap stays securely in place.

The specification (⌀ 1.8 mm) simply means: This is the thickness of the spring bar .

In many cases, the old watch strap still contains a spring bar .

If it's still in good condition, you can simply take it out of the old tape and reuse it in the new tape .

If you need a new one, there are three options:

Quick-release spring bars:

The easiest way. There's a small lever on the bridge that allows you to change the strap without tools, using only your fingers .

Ideal if you change your watch strap frequently.

Standard spring bars:

This is the standard version .

You will need a spring bar tool for installation.

Curved spring bars:

These bridges are slightly curved .

They are used when the watch case sits very close to the strap . This gives the strap a little more room and prevents it from rubbing against the case as much . This is the case, for example, with many newer Rolex models .

All our spring bars come from the German manufacturer Rowi . Although the company no longer exists, we were able to acquire a large portion of their remaining stock.

This allows us to continue offering spring bars of very high quality .

Our leather comes from traceable sources , is rigorously tested for harmful substances and is free from questionable substances – after all, you wear it directly on your skin.

Our clasps are also manufactured entirely in Germany at the Craiss metalworks.

Since 1952 we have been manufacturing watch straps with precision – every strap fits perfectly, including the lug width.

We produce for many well-known watch manufacturers – and with the FLUCO insert , we ensure that our straps retain their shape , age beautifully and deliver on their promise: robust, durable, high-quality.

Every FLUCO watch strap is made in our own factory in Furth im Wald – visibly, honestly, and with genuine care.
