The upper leather comes from species-protected farms in Louisiana and is processed in Italy into a leather that perfectly combines elegance, depth, and structure. The natural grain of the alligator leather makes each strap unique—subtly shiny, full of character, and unmistakable.

We craft the New Orleans alligator watch strap entirely by hand in our factory in the Bavarian Forest . Every seam, every cut, and every edge demonstrates the experience and precision of our artisans. The result: a strap that not only looks luxurious but also represents uncompromising quality.

Inside, a fiberglass reinforcement ensures dimensional stability, while double-stitched bartack stitches further secure the strap. The French lining leather is water-repellent and tested for harmful substances —comfortable against the skin, breathable, and durable.

With a strap thickness of just 2 mm, the New Orleans is light, elegant, and unobtrusive – ideal for both fine dress watches and sophisticated everyday watches.

Spring bars are small metal pins with a spring mechanism.

They are used to attach the watch strap to the watch , ensuring the strap stays securely in place.

The specification (⌀ 1.8 mm) simply means: This is the thickness of the spring bar .

In many cases, the old watch strap still contains a spring bar .

If it's still in good condition, you can simply take it out of the old tape and reuse it in the new tape .

If you need a new one, there are three options:

Quick-release spring bars:

The easiest way. There's a small lever on the bridge that allows you to change the strap without tools, using only your fingers .

Ideal if you change your watch strap frequently.

Standard spring bars:

This is the standard version .

You will need a spring bar tool for installation.

Curved spring bars:

These bridges are slightly curved .

They are used when the watch case sits very close to the strap . This gives the strap a little more room and prevents it from rubbing against the case as much . This is the case, for example, with many newer Rolex models .

All our spring bars come from the German manufacturer Rowi . Although the company no longer exists, we were able to acquire a large portion of their remaining stock.

This allows us to continue offering spring bars of very high quality .

Our leather comes from traceable sources , is rigorously tested for harmful substances and is free from questionable substances – after all, you wear it directly on your skin.

Our clasps are also manufactured entirely in Germany at the Craiss metalworks.

Since 1952 we have been manufacturing watch straps with precision – every strap fits perfectly, including the lug width.

We produce for many well-known watch manufacturers – and with the FLUCO insert , we ensure that our straps retain their shape , age beautifully and deliver on their promise: robust, durable, high-quality.

Every FLUCO watch strap is made in our own factory in Furth im Wald – visibly, honestly, and with genuine care.
